THE OLD TRUMAN BREWERY
East London swarming with life, lights, night clubs, restaurants, and the trendy bars on Brick Lane and Spitalfields, casinos, art galleries and even a pub named after Jack the Ripper in Commercial Street. These will be just some of the attractions of the first global event on tattoos organized in London: The London Tattoo Convention. The great Old Truman Brewery, a multi-purpose center, is right in the heart of this charming area of this European capital city. The center maintains the antique atmosphere of the area mixing it with the new creative and fresh side of the East End. Ever since it was renovated, in 1995, the over 11 acres of the Brewery have become a pulsing and dynamic center which combines culture and entertainment.
Located on Brick Lane and easy to reach, this old brewery made of 19 buildings combines commercial spaces – now over 200 creative professionals with recording studios and photography studios, fashion designers, artists have opened their laboratories here – with wide open areas dedicated to a wide range of events: fashion shows, ceremonies, exhibitions, tradeshows, conferences. Important events have been organized here: Bloomberg, Nike, Diesel, Samsung, Hermes, The Princes Trust and the London Heritage just to mention a few. What better location than this for the tattoo convention?
The building where the three-day tattoo convention will be held is Atlantis, a wide space divided on three floors and logistically perfect for the over 150 tattoo artists who will work together with the several representatives of the commercial sector that rotates around tattoos, but also the series of entertainment shows, music and exhibitions that will be organized. This incredible event will offer the best, most innovative and interesting things the tattoo panorama has to show, as well as attract a large public, young and devoted. A world where the body plays a key role in art and where it will be the absolute protagonist for three days.
